Bihar Home Guard Physical Test Admit card 2025 Details

Admit cards have been released for the physical test for the recruitment of 15,000 Home Guard positions in Bihar. Candidates can download their admit cards by visiting the official website onlinebhg.bihar.gov.in.

Candidates from the districts of Bhojpur, Munger, Lakhisarai, Darbhanga, and Purnia can download their admit cards starting today, April 24, 2025. Information regarding admit cards and the physical efficiency test for candidates from other districts will be made available on the website in due course.

The physical test is the most critical part of the Home Guard recruitment process, as it is primarily based on the selection of candidates. Therefore, you must put your full effort into this phase. Along with preparation, you also need to pay close attention to your timing. Here, you’ll find complete details of the height, running, high jump, long jump, and shot put requirements, along with timing, to help you prepare.

How will the Bihar Home Guard physical test be conducted?

The physical test process for Bihar Home Guard recruitment includes multiple stages. These include running, height and chest measurements, long jump, high jump, and shot put. Each of these activities is assigned a mark. The physical efficiency/fitness test will be conducted at the district level and will carry a total of 15 marks. Candidates who fail to clear the first stage will be disqualified at that point.

Selection Process for This Recruitment

The selection in this recruitment will be based on the Physical Fitness/Efficiency Test. There will be no written examination. The physical test will carry 15 marks, and the merit list will be prepared based on performance in this test.

Biometric Registration and Verification:
Candidates will first undergo biometric registration and verification. After that, the running test will be conducted.

Physical Test Procedure

  • The physical test will begin with the running event.
    • Male candidates must complete 1600 meters (1 mile) in 6 minutes.
    • Female candidates must run 800 meters in 5 minutes.
    • Candidates who fail to complete the race within the allotted time will be disqualified and will not be allowed to participate in the subsequent tests.
  • Only candidates who qualify in the running test will have their height and chest measurements taken.
  • Candidates who meet the height and chest criteria will then participate in the high jump, long jump, and shot put events.
    • Marks will be awarded based on performance in each of these events.
  • Candidates failing to meet the minimum height and chest requirements will be disqualified.
  • Each of the three events (high jump, long jump, shot put) will carry a maximum of 5 marks.
    • Every candidate will get up to 3 attempts in each event.

Important Notes

  • Candidates who fail to report on the scheduled date and time for the physical test will not be given another chance.

Document Verification

  • Candidates who qualify in the physical test will undergo verification of academic and non-academic documents.

Medical Examination

  • In the final stage of the Home Guard recruitment process, candidates who pass all the above steps will be required to undergo a medical examination.

Selection Process Instructions

Candidates selected for Home Guard recruitment must serve a minimum of 3 years in the Home Defense Corps. The selection will be carried out by a committee chaired by the district officer concerned. Candidates who do not report for the physical test on the scheduled date and time will not be given another chance. After the physical test, document verification and a medical examination will be conducted.

Selection Will Be Done by the Selection Committee

The selection of Home Guards will be carried out by the District Home Guard Selection Committee, which will be constituted under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate. The composition of the committee will include the following members:

  • District Magistrate – Chairperson
  • Superintendent of Police – Member
  • District Commandant, Home Defense Corps – Member Secretary
  • A member nominated by the State Government at the state level

Reservation Details for Bihar Home Guard recruitment 2025

Out of the total vacancies, 5,094 posts are reserved for women under horizontal reservation.
Out of 15,000 total vacancies:

  • 6,006 are for Unreserved (General) Category
  • 1,495 for EWS (Economically Weaker Section)
  • 2,399 for SC (Scheduled Castes)
  • 159 for ST (Scheduled Tribes)
  • 2,694 for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC)
  • 1,800 for Backward Classes (BC)

There will be no written examination in this Bihar Home Guard recruitment.
Selection will be based entirely on the physical test, and the merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the physical test.

Merit List Will Include 1.5 Times the Number of Vacancies

According to the Home Guard Department of Bihar Police, the merit list will include candidates 1.5 times the number of available posts.
This merit list will be based on the marks obtained in high jump, long jump, and shot put competitions.

Each of these three competitions will carry a maximum of 5 marks, making the physical test worth a total of 15 marks.
